Dylan's Carob Cake

buttermilk

chopped nuts
Instructions
Cream shortening (butter) with sugar well.
Add eggs, beat until fluffy.
Blend carob powder with water. Stir into creamed mixture and mix well.
Combine dry ingredients separately, sifting three times.
Add dry ingredients a little at a time, alternating with the buttermilk. Blending after each addition.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into 2 8" greased cake pans. 350℉ for 30-35 minutes.
