This is a very rich cake that requires a can of coconut pecan frosting IN the cake batter! Interesting take.
This was a version of a cake using the butter pecan cake mix that I was debating trying out. I ended up using a different recipe, so haven’t tried this one yet.
Made this cake for Dakota’s birthday when he asked for chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, and chocolate ice cream. It was really good.
Have not tried this cake yet and suspect that several people might not find it appealing in theory. Still, I look forward to trying it at some point. The photo certainly makes it look appetizing.
Many years ago I made a chocolate mouse cake with Kahlua. I had trouble finding that exact recipe but this one is close.
I believe that this was the original recipe for my Kahlua cake that I made many, many years ago.
This cake recipe came from my grandmother, Thelma Beatty. It doesn’t say what frosting should be used for it, but am guessing that a brown-sugar frosting would probably be good.
This strawberry cake recipe has been used in our family for years. It is one of Susannah’s favorites and usually what we have on her birthday.
